The
meeting was called to order at
Discussions
regarding when we should issue an RFP took place and how long it would take to
draft it. It was suggested that the
water study being authorized by the Selectmen would be completed within 60 days
and it should be incorporated into the RFP.
In the interim period we need to hire a consultant to aid us in drafting a proposal and the water study should be
ready by the time the RFP is near final form.
Dave
DePree suggested that a best case scenario would be
the RFP be out the door in 60 days, give respondents 60 -90 days for study and
formal response, review and compare responses, make recommendation of best
choice to Selectmen then engage winning bidder could be done before the end of
year with the developer possible breaking ground soon after.
In
order to find someone qualified to draft an RFP Joel will contact Eric Hooper,
Dick Gelerman and contacts he knows from other
Towns. David DePree will contact
BHA. Others at the meeting were asked to
make contacts if they know of people who do this type of work.
Whomever
we hire we need to get a fee agreement so we know how much the consultant will
cost. The money will come out of the
funds authorized to the committee when we were formed.
Dave
DePree moved to adjourn the meeting at
